{"id":365,"date":"2014-03-06T15:56:23","date_gmt":"2014-03-06T15:56:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vanderbilt.edu\/studentorgs\/?page_id=365"},"modified":"2026-03-16T13:52:02","modified_gmt":"2026-03-16T18:52:02","slug":"registering-your-org","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.vanderbilt.edu\/studentorgs\/registering-your-org\/","title":{"rendered":"Register Your Org"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>Registration Status and Deadlines<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>You should be able to check the status of your registration form in Anchor Link by going to your initial or picture on the top right side of your page, clicking on, &#8220;My Submissions&#8221;, and then clicking on the &#8220;Organization Registrations&#8221; tab.<\/li>\n<li><strong>In order to participate in the Student Involvement Fair, organizations must submit this registration form<\/strong>. Availability will provided to the earliest registrants.<\/li>\n<li>The Student Involvement Fair will take place on August 21st from 3:00pm-5:00pm.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Advisers must review and pre-approve your RSO registration before it can be final-approved by SOLS<\/strong>. Advisers may view the forms in Anchor Link by going to the notification bell on the top right of their screen and clicking on the appropriate notification.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The final deadline to complete the registration process for the 2026-2027 academic year is May 15, 2026 at 11:59pm<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>2026-2027 RSO &#8211; Registration Status\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>See below for a list of active organizations and their registration status in Anchor Link.\u00a0 Please be aware of the following status descriptions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Not Started<\/strong> &#8211; RSOs with this status have not begun their registration and are advised to begin immediately and finish prior to the deadline.<\/li>\n<li><strong>In Progress<\/strong> &#8211; RSOs with this status began their RSO registration but have not completed their portion of the form yet.\u00a0 They are advised to complete it prior to the deadline.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Pending<\/strong> &#8211; RSOs with this status completed the form and are waiting for the form to be pre-approved by their advisers or final approved from SOLS.\u00a0 No further action is needed at this point unless the form is denied and resubmission is requested.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>NOTE: Forms may remain &#8220;pending&#8221; on Anchor Link past the registration deadline of May 15th as all forms are reviewed. Note that the registration must already be started at this point.&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Step 1<\/strong>: Click on your picture or initials on the top right of your screen and select &ldquo;My Submissions&rdquo; on the dropdown.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Step 2<\/strong>: On your &ldquo;My Submissions&rdquo; page, click on the &ldquo;Organization Registrations&rdquo; tab to view your submitted registrations.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Step 3<\/strong>: You can view your status on the &quot;My Submissions&quot; Student organization officers will also need to complete asynchronous trainings and upload their certificate of completion to the registration.\u00a0 Instructions on accessing will be available on the RSO Registration and can also be found in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanderbilt.edu\/studentorgs\/organization-best-practices\/rsoandcoachtrainings\/\">RSO and Adviser Trainings Page<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Registration must be completed by an\u00a0<strong>INCOMING <\/strong>student officer who will hold their position in the new academic year.\u00a0 Student organizations who do not anticipate having turnover until after the given deadline should notify our office at <a href=\"mailto:studentorganizations@vanderbilt.edu\">studentorganizations@vanderbilt.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Why Should We Register Our Organizations?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>All organizations must renew their registration annually in order to be recognized by the University as a Registered Student Organization (RSO). Student Organizations that fail to renew their annual registration by the given deadline will result in having their Anchor Link account frozen. This status will prevent them from having access to their funds, reserving room spaces, or participating in the Student Involvement Fair.<\/p>\n<p>If you have\u00a0<u>not<\/u>\u00a0registered for the upcoming year, please contact\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:sols@vanderbilt.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sols@vanderbilt.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>All Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) are entitled to the following privileges<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Financial support from the University (Student Organization Funding allocation, and other sources <strong>when available<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<li>Use of University facilities for conducting regular business. Student organizations are prohibited from establishing offices, social spaces, or living quarters, off-campus.<\/li>\n<li>Use of University meeting rooms and facilities at no charge or at a reduced rate.<\/li>\n<li>Use of University electronic resources (e.g., Anchor Link, listservs, University-hosted website), and member subscription to the student leader listservs maintained by SOLS.<\/li>\n<li>Use of common space and storage space allocated for registered student organizations.<\/li>\n<li>Opportunity to solicit funds from, or make sales to, members of the University community on campus.<\/li>\n<li>Participation in the annual Student Involvement Fair and other programs promoting participation hosted by the University.<\/li>\n<li>Opportunity to advertise and promote the organization and its purposes on campus, and to advertise in Student Affairs-supported publications and other media.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to publish events on Anchor Link and in the University Events Calendar.<\/li>\n<li>Use of the official registered student organization mark, which incorporates the 国产原创 logo, official University spirit marks, and the name \u201c国产原创,\u201d or titles indicating institutional affiliation, such as \u201cBlack and Gold,\u201d \u201cVU,\u201d or \u201cCommodore,\u201d for purposes generally consistent with the organizations\u2019 purposes and their usual activities or to identify themselves as campus groups (See\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/studenthandbook.vanderbilt.edu\/administrative-policies#7417\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Marketing and Communications policy<\/a>\u00a0for more information).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Registration Status and Deadlines You should be able to check the status of your registration form in Anchor Link by going to your initial or picture on the top right side of your page, clicking on, &#8220;My Submissions&#8221;, and then clicking on the &#8220;Organization Registrations&#8221; tab.
