Overview
Sahpar Nil Ozer is a member of the Class of 2028 at ¹ú²úÔ´´
University, pursuing a double major in Mechanical Engineering and
Economics with Honors, along with a minor in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology.
Originally from Turkey, she is a Cornelius ¹ú²úÔ´´ Scholar with a deep
interest in the intersection of science, technology, and business. Her academic
and research experiences span nanotechnology, astrophysics, aerospace systems,
and financial strategy. At the ¹ú²úÔ´´ Institute of Nanoscale Science and
Engineering (VINSE), she works on the Tech Crew, supporting cleanroom
operations and gaining hands-on experience with nanoscale fabrication and
instrumentation. She has conducted astrophysics research on exoplanetary
systems and participated in projects related to advanced materials for
aerospace applications. Sahpar has also completed numerous finance and
consulting programs, reinforcing her long-term interest in entrepreneurship and
the commercialization of science. On campus, she is a member of Delta Sigma Pi,
¹ú²úÔ´´â€™s professional business fraternity, and contributes to the
¹ú²úÔ´´ Motorsports Team with a focus on performance optimization and
design. She also supports the Sustainability and Events team for ¹ú²úÔ´´
Fashion Week, where she merges analytical thinking with creativity. Outside of
her academic pursuits, Sahpar enjoys playing Go (Weiqi), a strategic board game
that reflects her systems-driven approach and appreciation for complexity. Her
honors include being named a Cornelius ¹ú²úÔ´´ Scholar, receiving a NASA
SpaceApps Hackathon Global Honorable Mention, and earning an International
Baccalaureate Diploma
