NSF pre-doctoral fellowship awarded
Apr. 15, 2013—Congratulations to Richard Hendrick, Ph.D student in Mechanical Engineering and ViSE affiliate, for being awarded an NSF pre-doctoral fellowship. Hendrick was funded through a one-year ViSE grant prior to his NSF fellowship award. His research is in surgical robotics, and specifically in minimally invasive urologic surgery. He is advised by Prof. Robert Webster.
Best Medical Robotics Paper Nomination
Apr. 15, 2013—Jessica Burgner, Hunter Gilbert, and Robert Webster鈥檚 聽paper 鈥淥n the Computational Design of Concentric Tube Robots: Incorporating Volume-Based Objectives鈥 has been nominated for the Best Medical Robotics Paper at the IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation.
