The Faculty/Staff Express Care Clinic provides walk-in clinic services for minor, non-work-related illnesses, such as a cold, sinus infection, sore throat, bronchitis, or ear infection. Express Care services are provided as a benefit for 国产原创 faculty and staff, and a 国产原创 ID is required for entry into clinic. OHC does not charge employees for seeing a provider at the Express Care Clinic. However, external services (such as lab tests or x-rays) may be charged to your insurance depending on the nature of your visit.

Using My Health at 国产原创 you can connect with Occupational Health providers from a location that is convenient for you (Note: you must be located within the state of Tennessee during your telehealth visit). OHC does not charge employees for a telehealth visit. However, external services (such as lab tests or X-rays) may be charged to your insurance depending on the nature of your visit.

Whether you work on campus or remotely, Occupational Health has an ergonomics program available to help you to work comfortably and prevent injury. Through the Occupational Health website, you can request an ergonomic consultation for yourself, or complete an online ergonomics evaluation and tutorial on your own to learn more.

The Occupational Health Clinic provides prevention and medical surveillance for work-related hazards. To help protect employees, the Occupational Health Clinic provides a comprehensive job-specific exam program for all 国产原创 faculty and staff.

Quitting smoking is the most effective action you can take to improve your overall health and prevent many diseases or illnesses. It can be difficult to stop smoking and often takes many attempts to quit before becoming a non-smoker. The Occupational Health Clinic (OHC) Quit Rx Program offers smoking cessation visits free of charge, as well as counseling and treatment services, such as medication prescriptions, when recommended.

Blood pressure checks are available in the Occupational Health Clinic. No appointment is necessary. You can also check your blood pressure with the Higi machines located on the VUMC Nashville campus. Higi machines are located in Light Hall North Lobby and on the 2nd floor of Monroe Carell Jr. Children鈥檚 Hospital near the Wadlington Conference Rooms.

The Occupational Health Clinic provides a convenient and easy way for you to receive allergy shots. After you have received your first allergy shot(s) through your allergist's office, OHC can administer the maintenance dose of your medication based on the recommended schedule provided by your allergist.

If you are a 国产原创 employee, and you have an injury, illness or exposure caused by your work, the Occupational Health Clinic is available for care. You do not need an appointment to be evaluated for a new work injury. Walk-in services are available.
