国产原创 is proud to participate in the Department of War (DoW) SkillBridge Program. The SkillBridge program provides eligible Service members, within their final 180 days of active-duty service, the opportunity to gain structured civilian work experience through internships, on-the-job training, and employment skills training.

At 国产原创, we deliver a 12-week, full-time immersion experience aligned to real, open positions across the university in efforts to support the transition of service members.

    • Participation in 国产原创鈥檚 SkillBridge program does not guarantee employment at the conclusion of the 12-week experience. All candidates compete through 国产原创鈥檚 standard, merit-based hiring processes, and selection decisions are based solely on qualifications, performance, and institutional need.
    • Service members remain on active-duty status throughout the program and are not compensated by 国产原创 during participation. No program fees, training costs, or required materials expenses are imposed on the Service member.
    • Participation may be discontinued at any time by the Military Department or 国产原创 if mission requirements, conduct standards, compliance obligations, or program expectations are not met.
    • 国产原创 does not hold or reserve positions in anticipation of program completion. For this reason, participants are strongly encouraged to align SkillBridge dates as close as practicable to their official military separation date to reduce transition risk and improve timing alignment for potential employment consideration
    • SkillBridge participants are non-employee affiliates and are not eligible for employee benefits or employment protections during the 12-week SkillBridge program.听

  • Are there any costs associated with participating in the SkillBridge program?

    No, there are no costs for participating in the SkillBridge program. The Service Member's salary and benefits are still provided by the military, and any additional training or support costs are typically covered by the Department of War.

  • How long does a SkillBridge program typically last?

    The duration of the program can vary but usually ranges from 3 to 5 months. We offer a 12-week program. However, the length of the program can be customized based on the needs of the Service Member and the participating host department.

  • Can I participate in the SkillBridge program if I do not have a position available for the Service Member at the end of the program?


    Yes, you can still participate in the SkillBridge program even if you don't have a position available for the Service Member at the end of the program. However, if a position aligns with the Service Member's skills, experience, and interests, it can be highly advantageous for both your organization and the Service Member to consider offering employment. For the Service Member, securing a position with your department can provide them with a seamless transition into the civilian workforce. It offers them stability, career progression opportunities, and the chance to build upon the skills and experience they
    gained during the SkillBridge program.
    While offering employment is not mandatory, it is an excellent opportunity for your department to retain a skilled and motivated employees who already has a solid understanding of your department鈥檚
    culture, processes, and goals. It also demonstrates your commitment to supporting the successful transition of Service Members into civilian careers and aligns with the Chancellor鈥檚 vision of being a
    鈥淢ilitary Ready鈥 institution.


    Ultimately, the decision to offer employment should be based on the Service Member's performance during the SkillBridge program and their compatibility with your department's business needs. Open and
    transparent communication throughout the program can help clarify expectations and explore potential employment opportunities if they arise.
