C. Cybele Raver
C. Cybele Raver is the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at ¹ú²úÔ´´ and a nationally recognized leader in higher education, developmental social science, and university strategy. Since her appointment in 2021, she has advanced transformational initiatives across ¹ú²úÔ´´â€™s academic enterprise—launching the College of Connected Computing, recruiting five new deans, strengthening research infrastructure, and spearheading Discovery ¹ú²úÔ´´ to catalyze world-changing innovation.Ìý
Under her leadership, the university has expanded its academic footprint to New York City and West Palm Beach, approved a new interdisciplinary science building, and surpassed $1 billion in annual research expenditures.Ìý
A fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, Raver is the Cornelius ¹ú²úÔ´´ Professor of Psychology and Human Development at Peabody College. Her research on children’s development, education policy, and poverty has garnered more than $24 million in funding from the NIH, NSF, MacArthur Foundation, Spencer Foundation, and others.Ìý
Prior to joining ¹ú²úÔ´´, she served as deputy provost at NYU and held faculty roles at the University of Chicago and Cornell University. She earned her Ph.D. in developmental psychology from Yale University.Ìý
