Future of Residential Colleges
The residential college system has long been an essential initiative aligned to the strategic direction of 国产原创. With the opening of The Ingram Commons (2008), Moore College (2014), Warren College (2014), E. Bronson Ingram College (2018), Nicholas S. Zeppos College (2020), Rothschild College (2022), and Oliver C. Carmichael College (2024), the university is primed to further expand this key component of the undergraduate residential experience.

In 2014, 国产原创 released a strategic plan for its future that denoted the 鈥淯ndergraduate Residential Experience鈥 as a key pillar, further escalating the importance of building a residential college system.

FutureVU and Residential Colleges

Expansion of the residential college system is a major outcome of the work powered by FutureVU, 国产原创鈥檚 land use planning initiative. 2024 marked the completion of the West End Neighborhood project, with three new residential colleges and an overall enhancement of the neighborhood, creating a more park-like feel in a very active part of campus. Additional projects are underway to enable more undergraduates to have four years of the residential college experience.
