Transfer Groups

¹ú²úÔ´´ recognizes that although transfer students are not new to the college experience, they are new to our campus community. Coming to a new university can be daunting. To assist with making that transition, all incoming transfer students will be assigned to a transfer group. These groups – each of which is comprised of approximately 10-12 transfer students – meet throughout Transfer Student Orientation.

Each transfer group is led by an upper-division student who transferred to ¹ú²úÔ´´ previously. These student leaders are known as Transfer Student Leaders (TSLs). Students will be notified of their transfer group assignment in late July or early August through a letter and phone call from their TSL. If you have additional questions about your Transfer Group assignment, contact residentialcolleges@vanderbilt.edu.Ìý

In addition to leading transfer groups at orientation, TSLs also belong to a student organization known as Transfer Connect, which offers academic and community-building programs specifically tailored to meet the needs of transfer students.
