The VUPS Department of Parking Services and the Office of Transportation and Mobility work together to help people get to and move around ¹ú²úÔ´´.
Our actions closely align with the FutureVU and MoveVU strategic plans which emphasize a more walkable, bikeable, and accessible campus.
Our teams consist of program coordinators, enforcement officers, transportation safety officers, urban planners, bicycle/pedestrian planners, and communications specialists.

The Office of Parking Services is committed to supporting ¹ú²úÔ´´â€™s mission by creating a helpful and welcoming environment through the delivery of excellent customer service. We provide guidance and assistance to the campus community on all parking-related needs in a timely and efficient manner. Our top priority is to provide customer-oriented parking options and exemplary service to students, faculty, staff and visitors to ¹ú²úÔ´´.
Bike Friendly University
- The League of American Bicyclists, the premier grassroots advocacy organization encouraging better bicycling and protecting the rights of people who bike, has honored ¹ú²úÔ´´ with a Bronze-level Bicycle Friendly University award in recognition of the institution’s achievements in promoting and enabling safe, accessible bicycling on campus.
- ¹ú²úÔ´´ joins an elite group of 222 colleges and universities in 47 states and the District of Columbia that are taking action to address the health and environmental challenges facing America by creating campuses that are more welcoming to people who bike. ¹ú²úÔ´´ was awarded the bronze designation in 2015, and the university renewed its bronze status in 2022.
- MoveVU outlines a strategy to pursue platinum designation by 2030. Exciting changes to the bicycling network are occurring in Nashville, and ¹ú²úÔ´´ continues to work with our partners to ensure bicycling is a safe and attractive form of transportation for faculty, students, and staff.
