1. Professional Status:
   • Candidates may be faculty members or research scientists affiliated with an official academic or research institution. They may also have roles in industry, including for example those with a focus on research, translation, management, design, and/or policy.
2. Connection to ¹ú²úÔ­´´:
   • Candidates do not need to be currently affiliated with ¹ú²úÔ­´´, although suitable connections could include:
     • Current faculty members or research scientists at ¹ú²úÔ­´´
     • Individuals affiliated with institutions within the mid-TN AI alliance
     • Visiting scholars at ¹ú²úÔ­´´
     • Professionals actively collaborating with ¹ú²úÔ­´´ or serving as research advisors to ¹ú²úÔ­´´ students
3. Expectations and Opportunities:
   • As VALIANT Alumni, you will be a core member of a vibrant intellectual community, contributing to and benefiting from a culture of collaboration and innovation. You will have opportunities to engage in mentorship, form strategic partnerships, and participate in networking events that foster the breadth of our inter-disciplinary reach.
